List of world's most powerful passports released, US, India downgrade

January 10, 2025) With the beginning of the new year, the Henley Passport Index has released a list of the world's strongest passports, in which Pakistan's number is not even among the top 100 countries and India has also declined. According to a foreign news agency, the list released by the Henley Passport Index said that passports from 199 countries and 227 different locations in the world have been included.
In the list, Pakistan is behind the regional countries of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal and has a ranking equal to Yemen. In this list, Pakistan's number is at 103rd place among the countries with the best passports in the world with free visa facilities for 33 countries.
India has also declined among the countries of the region and is at 85th place in the new year, down 5 places from 80 in 2024, while the United States is also part of the declining countries.
The top 10 countries with the world's strongest passports include no Islamic country except the United Arab Emirates, the United Arab Emirates is also in 10th place and a few other countries are also included. The Asian country Singapore holds the title of the world's strongest passport, followed by Japan, after which the number of European countries in the top 10 is higher.
In third place are 5 European countries and South Korea, European countries include Finland, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. In fourth place are 7 countries, including peaceful European countries such as Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. Similarly, in fifth place are Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Australia and Greece are ranked sixth in the list of the world's strongest passports. Canada, Malta, Poland are ranked seventh, the Czech Republic and Hungary are ranked eighth, the United States is tied with Estonia at number 9. Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia and the United Arab Emirates are ranked tenth, Croatia, Iceland and Slovakia are ranked eleventh, and Malaysia is ranked twelfth.
One of the world's largest economies, China, is ranked 60th with a score of 85, Russia and Turkey are jointly ranked 46th, followed by Qatar. It should be noted that the Henley Passport Index is released on a monthly basis and is considered the standard reference for independent states for global travel and the importance of passports in the world.
