These are everyday holidays.

Islamabad (Point News Today / Pakistan Point News - 13th December, 2024 ) It is our national temperament that we present the example of 'working like a donkey' for those who work hard and with dedication. As if working like donkeys is a matter of great stupidity and foolishness. Perhaps this mentality of taking a vacation or seeking rest has become widespread and is the cause of unnecessary official holidays at the national or government level.
In our country, people do not care much about completing work on time at the individual and collective levels. Individually, we often find excuses for taking time off from work in our routines. The same thing is also found at the state level that it seems that the government also finds excuses to give holidays to its people, that is, any major national or collective issue is easily solved in the form of a holiday, that today the roads will be closed due to such and such a protest or rally or that there will be more traffic due to some big event or 'VIP' movement.
If there is an important cricket match somewhere, there are foreign guests, there is an important exhibition somewhere, if there is a threat of rain, smog or some other weather extreme, if there is a protest or demonstration somewhere, then a holiday is immediately declared. God forbid, even if there is a threat of terrorism, in the eyes of the authorities, the protection of life and property can only be ensured if people stay in their homes and celebrate the holiday.
Along with the usual holidays, declaring a public holiday is also very common in countries like ours. Perhaps the general mood is that our authorities do not think about how much negative impact a day off has on the country, city, province or even a city. Here too, the same life-saving mentality is at work that according to them, there is no point in having to worry about work. If we win a cricket match, then this happiness is also expressed in the form of a public holiday.
If our country has crossed a milestone, then the gift of remembrance will also be given through a holiday, from International Workers' Day to expressing solidarity with someone. From the birth and death anniversaries of famous personalities to various important occasions. Until there is a holiday, we cannot tell how much importance this festival or occasion has for us. If there is a tragedy, mourning is also expressed by keeping businesses closed for as many days as possible.
While you should at least keep holidays in your country and restore normal life, why should you ignore the loss of children's education, important matters in offices, and work in factories?
Who will be responsible for the loss caused by these holidays? But what will you do when our authorities think so much, that in our country, a holiday is the cure for every disease. Grieving is a national pastime.
In normal life, we often express immense happiness on such good or bad holidays. Rarely does anyone feel sad or upset that a day of their life has gone to waste, nor does any writer or reader realize how fast life is these days, how precious every moment of it is, and how an entire day has been wasted on unnecessary leisure, that is, how far behind our economy and education are already from the world and we are increasing this gap by being busy with our holidays.
According to one theory, overpopulation is called a burden, but according to another theory, overpopulation is taken as an increase in the workforce, which has its own importance, but if this workforce continues to take holidays and is not active, then there is no doubt that it is a burden and these holidays play a role in making people a burden, because on this day we are using all the resources of life, from food to drink, but in return we are not working.
What else will happen from this except loss? Then as a result of holidays, different people also get worried about not having work. It is also possible that no matter how much trouble someone gets into due to our inaction, their work gets delayed further, but we never think that deeply. We can move forward only by working, so we should not ignore the problem of such unnecessary holidays at all. In this way, we may become the cause of many improvements at the individual and collective levels and our economy will also start recovering.
