Lahore (UrduPoint News - 28th December 2024) Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Saad Rafique says that the country cannot move forward with remote-controlled democracy. A national committee should be formed to get out of the political crisis. This cannot be done. Only politicians should suffer. No one can be buried in politics. This misconception should be removed by everyone. Addressing a ceremony held in Lahore on the anniversary of Khawaja Rafique Shaheed, the PML-N leader said that senior politicians should think about bringing the country back on track.
While proposing a national committee to get the country out of the current political crises, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Dr. Malik Baloch, Aftab Khan Sherpao, Pir Pagara, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and other stakeholders who are neither part of the government nor the PTI alliance should be made part of the committee.
I suggest that the process of negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf should be successful.
He said that lest further losses be incurred. State institutions are being insulted and there is a reaction from the other side. It is not understood who is truthful and who is lying. Politics cannot be fought through non-political means. No one can be buried in politics. This misunderstanding should be removed by everyone. Neither Bhutto's politics could be ended nor that of Nawaz Sharif nor can politics be stopped through unnatural means.
The country is surrounded by mutual chaos, if the situation continues like this, many people will become irrelevant. Khawaja Saad Rafique further said in his speech that that is why I am not a part of the government and my colleagues know this. I am completely within my party but where there is a problem. Now I cannot remain silent, we will have to talk about it. We will have to question it, we will have to find a way out.
He also said that I want to say with great respect. This new American administration that is coming. They have no interest in Imran Khan. Their interest is the same as that of American colonialism and that is Pakistan's nuclear program, Pakistan's ballistic missile program. We may not realize our strength but our enemy does, when you are being surrounded and you are even visible, can you close your eyes, can you remain silent?
He said that people come out by forming an action committee in the name of traders and the state bows down, then there will be question marks on it because in this way people will come out in groups, so whose words will you listen to if the Kohala bridge is blocked. The flag of Pakistan or the picture of Quaid-e-Azam has been taken down, so we are concerned about how this happened. When we had said that this should not be done, we had advised but if anyone listens to us, then right, how long will you shut yourself in the drawing room and moan, we will have to talk but who will talk.
