Shadman police station arson and encirclement case, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Yasmin Rashid and Mahmood Rashid charged with a crime
Judge Manaz Ali read out the formal charges in court, the accused were presented in court, and the court summoned witnesses for the next hearing.

Lahore (Point News Today - 12th December 2024) The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court indicted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, PTI leader Yasmin Rashid, and Mahmood Al-Rashid in the Shadman Police Station arson and robbery case. The PTI leaders denied the charges. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Manazer Ali Gul heard the case in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Yasmin Rashid, and Mahmood Al-Rashid were presented in the ATC court. Judge Manazer Ali read out the charge sheet in the court. The court indicted in the Shadman Police Station arson and robbery case, summoned witnesses for the next hearing and adjourned the hearing until December 19, while the court adjourned the proceedings in other cases including the Askari Tower arson and robbery until December 23.
It should be noted that the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court had indicted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Yasmin Rashid, Omar Sarfaraz Cheema, Mian Mahmood Rashid, and Senator Ijaz Chaudhry in the vehicle burning and arson case on May 9. The Anti-Terrorism Court judge heard the case in jail. All the accused denied the crime.
The Anti-Terrorism Court had summoned witnesses on December 16. Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court had fixed a date for indicting PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mahmood Rashid, and others in other cases including arson. It was reported that the court had set December 13 as the date for indicting the accused.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Arshad Javed heard five arson cases, including the burning of the PML-N office. During the hearing, the court distributed copies of the challans to the accused. The accused included Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Ijaz Chaudhry, Mahmood Rashid and others. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Manzar Ali Gul had called for arguments on December 18 on the interim bail of MPA Imtiaz Mahmood Sheikh in three arson cases, including the Askari Tower arson case. The JIT had found Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh guilty in two cases, including the burning of vehicles in a square near Jinnah House.
