Taxila/Jhelum (UrduPoint News Today / Pakistan Point News - 22nd December 2024) Adviser to the Prime Minister on Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik says that Imran Khan’s release will not be on the agenda in the talks with the PTI. Talking to the media in Taxila, he said that it cannot be possible that you first call for civil disobedience and then get relief on May 9. The courts have their work, the courts have their decisions, the judicial system is there, the judicial system will take its own path. The government was serious earlier and is still serious. If anyone thinks that a deal or relaxation will be reached under the guise of talks, then they have a misunderstanding. The cases of May 9 will reach their logical conclusion. Aqeel Malik says that for negotiations, you have to first decide on the TOR. After deciding on the TOR and agenda, the talks can move forward. It is not written anywhere in the negotiations that you will be given a general amnesty. Negotiations are a different thing and the law coming into action is a different thing. For 10 months, the allies and we have been singing the same tune. The only solution to the problems is negotiations. But it cannot be that we are tried to be beaten by hanging the gun of civil disobedience on us and telling us that if we come to negotiations, then negotiations cannot be held like this.

Similarly, Chairman of the National Parliamentary Task Force for Development Goals, Bilal Azhar Kayani, has said that whoever wants to talk about national issues, our ego will never be an obstacle. We are ready to talk to anyone, including PTI, for talks on national issues. We accept that PTI is the opposition party in the National Assembly and you have the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. In this capacity, if you want to talk about eliminating terrorism and economic stability that will improve the country, we are ready to talk at any time.

While holding a press conference in Jalham, he said that if anyone thinks that as a result of the talks, you will get exemption from punishment for your crimes, then this will not happen. Whoever is involved in May 9 should be punished. In my view, delaying the punishment of these crimes is also a crime. Imran Khan is also guilty of May 9 and the 190 million pound case. He should be punished in these cases.
