Lahore (Point News Today Latest. IPA. December 14, 2024) The sixth day of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s visit to China continued to work even on the day off. An investment conference was held in Guangzhou under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Officials of more than 60 prominent companies from China and Hong Kong attended the investment conference. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the establishment of a working group, the appointment of a focal person and the establishment of a help desk in the conference. Representatives of health, artificial intelligence, agriculture, information technology, waste management, solar energy and other sectors participated in the conference. Representatives of prominent Chinese companies gave a detailed briefing to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif about their institutions.
Suggestions and recommendations regarding Pak-China free trade were reviewed.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif invited Chinese technology companies to start operations in Punjab, on which Chinese technology companies expressed interest in investing in Punjab. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif decided to facilitate Chinese companies with one-window operations in Punjab and declared Punjab as a “land of opportunity” for Chinese companies.

The Zero Waste Mission has started under Shatra Punjab, and we will welcome the support and cooperation of Chinese companies. We are starting a project to convert waste into renewable energy.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that attention is being paid to windmills, solar energy and renewable energy sources to obtain cheap electricity. Reforms are being introduced in industries to improve the ecosystem. The demand for solar energy in Punjab is continuously increasing. She said that a mega project for solarization has been started in Punjab. We will welcome the cooperation of Chinese companies in the solarization project.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that agriculture is being mechanized by taking it on the path of innovation. Machinery, manufacturing, food processing and hybrid seeds of the agricultural sub-sector will be made possible with the cooperation of development. She said that we want to utilize the valuable asset of young industrial human resources in Punjab. We want to approach the use of bio and hydrogen technology.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that bringing innovation in the IT sector is the need of the hour, and will welcome investment in e-commerce, incubator centers, and e-learning in Punjab. Nawaz Sharif wants to make IT City state-of-the-art, Chinese companies can invest here. The response of Chinese investors to promote Pak-China relations is encouraging.
He said that Pakistan is a gateway for Central Asia, the Middle East and other countries. Pakistan is a valuable part of the global trade route. China’s health system will benefit from telemedicine techniques. Agriculture can be revolutionized through nanotechnology. He wants to introduce a water-efficient irrigation system in Punjab. He said that it is the best time for Chinese companies to take advantage of business opportunities in Punjab.
