Kashmiris will continue their struggle until freedom from Indian occupation, Hurriyat leader Zahid Safi

Muzaffarabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - APP - 11th February, 2025) A protest rally was taken out in Muzaffarabad under the auspices of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party to pay tribute to prominent Kashmiri leader Muhammad Maqbool Butt on his martyrdom day. According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally in Muzaffarabad ended at Geelani Chowk via Tanga Stand, where Democratic Freedom Acting Chairman Mahmood Ahmed Saghar and other Hurriyat leaders addressed the rally.
Mahmood Saghar paid tribute to Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Shaheed Fazal Guru in his telephonic address. He said that Maqbool Butt breathed a new life into the freedom movement by sacrificing his life. The torch lit by the martyrdom of Maqbool Butt will not be allowed to go out.
The speakers reiterated the resolve of Kashmiris to continue the Kashmir freedom movement to its logical conclusion and not to hesitate from any sacrifice.
The speakers said that the lives of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders Musarat Alam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Yasin Malik, Asia Andrabi and others are in danger in Indian jails. They urged the United Nations to increase pressure on India for the immediate release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists. The speakers included Raja Sajid Ishaq, President of Anjuman Tajran, Mahfouz Inqilabi, Raja Mohsin, Chaudhry Shahid Aziz, Shahid Mughal Muhammad Zareen, Shabbir Awan and others. Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Zahid Safi said that Kashmiris will continue their struggle until they achieve freedom from Indian rule. Addressing a youth conference organized by Kashmir Email Forum as a special guest, he said that millions of Kashmiris sacrificed their lives for freedom from Indian rule. He urged the world to increase pressure on India to grant Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination. He also thanked the government and people of Pakistan for expressing their full solidarity with the Kashmiris. The Youth Conference was also addressed by the Chairman of the Kashmir Email Forum, Raja Fazil Tabassum.
