The 2-day 21st FIT 2024 Conference concluded at COMSATS University Islamabad.

Islamabad (Point News Today / Pakistan Point News - 11th December, 2024) The 2-day 21st FIT 2024 Conference at COMSATS University Islamabad concluded on Tuesday. The 2-day conference considered measures to promote IT technology and research. Azfar Manzoor, Special Secretary, Ministry of IT and Telecom, was the chief guest at the closing session of the conference.
He congratulated the organizers on the successful organization of the conference. He hoped that the conference would play an important role in shaping the future of information technology. He said that today we are facing various challenges in technology, such conferences play an important role in dealing with these challenges.
On this occasion, Rector COMSATS University Islamabad Professor Dr. Sajid Qamar hoped that this conference would play an important role in shaping the future of information technology, disseminate modern knowledge, overcome challenges and help in building a strong professional community.
Addressing the conference, FIT General Chair and In-charge of Islamabad Campus, Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar highlighted the transformative role of ICT in addressing global challenges such as climate change, healthcare and education. Earlier, the conference’s program chair, Dr. Majid Iqbal Khan, welcomed the participants and gave a comprehensive overview of the event, which he described as a milestone in advancing IT research and innovation in Pakistan.
This year’s FIT conference saw a strong turnout with 410 technical papers submitted, a significant increase over last year. The event featured 20 technical sessions, two keynote addresses and 12 invited talks delivered by globally recognized scholars, government officials, business people and industrialists from various regions including Germany, Australia, UK, USA, Qatar, Malaysia and Pakistan. At the end of the conference, the Rector COMSATS University presented shields to the chief guest and keynote speakers. The conference was attended by leading experts and scholars representing prominent universities and institutions from around the world, including the US, UK, Australia, China, Qatar, and Japan.
