School uniform policy relaxed as cold weather increases

 Due to the severity of the cold, students may wear any color jacket, sweater, coat, socks, and shoes.

Lahore (Point News Today / Pakistan Point News - 15th December, 2024) The school uniform policy has been relaxed in Punjab province during the winter season. The provincial education department has also issued a notification of relaxation in the uniform policy. According to the notification, the relaxation in the uniform policy will be applicable to all government and private schools immediately. Due to the severity of the cold, students can wear jackets, sweaters, coats, socks and shoes of any color. This relaxation in the uniform policy has been made to protect students from the cold. The relaxation in the uniform policy will be applicable until February 28, 2025.

In addition, the education department has also issued 20-point guidelines for government schools, banning the use of mobile phones. The education department has issued guidelines for discipline and a transparent teaching system. District, Tehsil Education Officers and school heads have been directed to ensure the implementation of the guidelines.

The Education Department letter said that during teaching hours, switched off mobile phones of teachers, students and non-teaching staff will be submitted to the head teacher, the staff will be required to wear dress coats and closed shoes, teachers and students will have their name tag, jerseys will be required to be worn with the uniform, there will be a working time board at the main gate, there will be a CR for each class and students will use a register.

The Education Department's guidelines say that in each class, there will be a box for present and absent students and a subject on a corner of the whiteboard, the subject taught and important points will be listed on the board, students' nails and hair cutting will be checked daily, teachers will wear watches, attendance of all teachers including the head in the assembly will be mandatory, three or four Panaflexes of different colors will be installed in the school.
