Christmas inspires people of all religions to love, generosity, compassion, unity and hope, President Asif Ali Zardari's message on the occasion of Christmas

Islamabad (Point News Today / Pakistan Point News - APP - December 24, 2024) President Asif Ali Zardari, while extending his heartfelt greetings to the Christian community in Pakistan and around the world on the auspicious occasion of Christmas, said that Christmas brings a universal message to humanity and inspires followers of all religions to love, generosity, mercy, unity and hope. Christmas Day is celebrated in memory of the birth of Hazrat Jesus (PBUH). Your message of love, compassion and peace is still inspiring and guiding us today. This universal message encourages us to work for the establishment of an inclusive and peaceful society.


According to the Press Wing of the Presidential Palace, President Asif Ali Zardari said in his message that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees fundamental rights to all citizens regardless of their religion and gives them the freedom to worship and live according to their beliefs.


Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah envisioned a Pakistan where people of all religions can develop on the basis of equality, and for national unity and progress, the rights of all citizens must be respected.


Today, we also acknowledge the role of the Christian community in the development of Pakistan. They have rendered outstanding services in the fields of education, health, community service, social welfare and public service. The role of the Christian community is a testament to the diversity of our nation and this is a matter of pride for all Pakistanis. He said that let us renew our commitment to religious harmony, mutual respect and protection of the rights of minorities. We must discourage intolerance and discrimination and ensure that every person in Pakistan is respected and feels safe.


The festival of Christmas teaches us to extend a hand of friendship and solidarity to each other, including those in need. Let us work together in this spirit throughout the year to build a society based on peace, justice, and compassion. May this Christmas bring joy, prosperity, and hope to our Christian community.
